Stimuleringsregeling Eigentijdse Dans (SED): applications between 1 and 3 February 2021

The Stimuleringsregeling Eigentijdse Dans (SED) has been set up by the City of Amsterdam in cooperation with the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) and Cultuur+Ondernemen. Cultuur+Ondernemen was responsible for the implementation of the scheme up to and including 2020. As of 2021, the subsidy scheme will be transferred to the AFK.

Stimulation scheme for Contemporary Dance (SED)

With the start of Kunstenplan 2021-2024, the AFK will implement the Stimuleringsregeling Eigentijdse Dans. The basic principle of the scheme is to support freelance dance professionals in their professional practice. Independent choreographers and dancers with a clear relationship with the city can apply for an allowance for the costs of renting rehearsal and assembly rooms in Amsterdam. The actual rental costs will be reimbursed, with a maximum annual amount of € 3,000 per freelancer. With the support of dance professionals, they can research dance and deepen their profession.
